The Power of a Goo Pool
Did you ever see Terminator 2? Some of the final scenes take place in a steel mill, with a big ol' pool of glowing hot steel-goo. Something about that pool created a lot of questions in my mind when I first watched the film (at an age younger than the Motion Picture Association would probably advise).
"What is the glowing goo for?"
"How did it all get there?"
"Who are the people who do...whatever with the goo?"
(I had no questions about time travel or the liquid metal man whose arms could turn into blades--that shit was straightforward.)
But those questions really draw you into an environment. You get the feeling you're out of your element, and you want to know more. That is the power of the goo pool. So, I decided to put one into First Town! But the goo is green instead of orange, so James Cameron won't come after me.
The goo pool will be a big part of the town, with a lot of the structures revolving around it. What could that be about?!
Oh, and I am still having some issues with my custom 3D objects, so you can currently just walk through the walls of the goo pool in some spots, and just hang out in the goo:
Hopefully this will be resolved in later updates...
