Wow Bed


When it comes to bed situations, there are a few factors that elevate a bed from "ok bed" to "wow bed". They are as follows:

  1. Dinosaur bedsheets
  2. A ladder
  3. Secret compartments to keep cool stuff

And so, when working on the interior for the vehicle that will be central to Shrew Road Trip RPG, I decided to incorporate all of these elements:


Yeah, I bet you're looking over at your own bed right now and questioning everything. Where did your life go so wrong  that you sleep in a normal bed with like, I dunno, teal bedsheets, or something. God.

Also, new attack animation!


But yeah, now TWO of the four main characters has a complete sprite sheet for both walking and in-battle action. Progress!

Which brings me to an important question regarding the demo. I'm currently experiencing some issues when it comes to overworld enemy interactions: enemies get stuck to environmental obstacles (walls, 3D objects, etc.). I haven't been able to fix it, and no one I've asked about on the RPG Paper Maker Discord seems to have any helpful advice. So this has me considering random battles as an easy alternative. But I don't really LOVE random battles as they really rip your consciousness out of exploration. But maybe that's just me? Curious how other people feel about this, if anyone wants to chime in.
